Welcome wonderful 9th graders and parents! This site is designed to further encourage course work from home! Working in class requires a lot to do from home as well, and sometimes assignments and explanations are lost in translation... The site can also be used for absent students to keep ahead with their missed work, or for parents to get a sense for what is going on during classtime! Tips for using the site:

- The "English 9" page lists daily activities and warm ups for each level, honors and merit.
- "Syllabus" page has an extra, online version of our class syllabus
- The "homework calendar" can help track homework assignments and due dates!
- "Updates and reminders" are for any changes to scheduling or classroom activities.
- "Word Study" contains all of the FCPS vocabulary used in the ninth grade curriculum. Students can use this to get words and definitions when they are absent/missing words.
- "Language Usage" contains an adobe version of the LU Handbook and activites. Any time a student is absent and sees an LU activity, they need only see the LU handbook and activities for that number!
- "Word Scrabble" is a weekly homework assignment designed to enhance student spelling and vocabulary. Here students can find another explanation of the rules, links to online resources, and extra copies of the "game board."
- The "Reading and Writing Center" page is your link to everything having to do with reading, writing structure, grammar, and language usage.
