Principal's Message

Greetings!

The spring semester is both busy and beautiful on our campus. Many of our students are now taking the second of two consecutive Advanced Placement or high school assessment courses. That said, these students will face rigorous exams in May and are working diligently toward their academic goals.

Spring sports have started to compete and it looks as though our teams hold much promise for the season. Other upcoming events include our Prom and our Spring Musical, Beauty and the Beast.

Academically, our students continue to demonstrate significant achievement. Our honor role for the second term included 995 of our students! Students and parents are reminded that with the change in the school calendar brought on by the February snows, the third term now ends on Thursday, April 1. The fourth term starts on Tuesday, April 6.

The other main change to the school calendar was the elimination of the March conference days. Please know that LHS teachers are very interested in meeting with parents who would like to confer face-to-face about student progress. Parents are encouraged to contact any teacher with whom they would like to confer.

Our new school building continues to be on schedule and we hope to move in prior by July 1. The summer will certainly be busy there as we ready for our opening in August.   Please feel free to check our web site for updated photos of the progress of the building.

For now, please feel welcome to join us for many of the spring events on our campus. We look forward to a safe and rewarding spring for all of our students.
